Tin Mountain Conservation Center will be running the next homeschool session starting September 6, 2017 until December 20th. Classes will run every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm at the Nature Learning Center on Bald Hill Road in Albany, NH.
For the upcoming fall session students will explore the trails and woods on our property to learn about habitat diversity, how to I.D. tree species, look for signs of animals getting ready for winter, explore the micro-world with microscopes, make crystals, learn about animal anatomy, make apple cider, and much more still to be determined. It will be a very busy fall in our woods and our classroom!
The program is geared towards elementary aged students, children age seven to twelve. Students will be outside a good deal of the time and often for the whole class. Raingear, warm clothes and good foot wear is essential. Students should bring water bottles and day packs as well. Cost $176 for members, $208 for nonmembers ($11 & $13 per class). A $20 discount can be offered if more than one child from a family attends. Registration is required. Thanks and I hope to see everyone in the fall.
