Which is it? Tin Mountain or Bald Hill? Well, both!

Our organization got its start in 1980 on Tin Mountain in Jackson, NH. We soon outgrew that location as our headquarters, and spent the next couple of decades renting office space around the Mount Washington Valley, and offering programs “out of our cars”.

In the fall of 2006 a permanent home for Tin Mountain Conservation Center was completed; a long time coming. The 138-acre sanctuary where our Nature Learning Center is now situated is on Bald Hill in the town of Albany, NH.

So when someone asks, “Is it Tin Mountain or Bald Hill?,” you can answer “Tin Mountain is on Bald Hill.”
