Teacher/Naturalist Sarah Frankel will share the clues that she uses to identify animal skulls.  The course will start with an introductory lesson followed by a hands-on practice session including assembling an entire moose skeleton.

Figuring out which species of animal once belonged to a skull is an exciting mystery to solve. Before identifying the skull you have to put together all of the clues the skull is offering.  How large are the eye sockets and what direction are they facing? How large is the nasal opening compared to the size of the skull? What are the different shapes and sizes of the teeth? On October 24, join teacher/naturalist, Sarah Frankel, as she explains a quick easy way to identify a skull.  This Adult Nature Course will start off with an introductory lesson followed by a hands-on practice session. Followed by an exploration and piecing together of a moose
skeleton.
