Stan Folsom’s artwork is on display at the Tin Mountain lobby gallery now until mid-September from the hours of 9 through 5 PM Monday through Friday at the Tin Mountain lobby gallery 1245 Bald Hill Road, Albany, NH.

Stan is a resident of Acton, Maine and is a retired art teacher and botanical illustrator who received his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts College of Art and Master of Fine Arts and Ph.D. at The Pennsylvania State University.  His primary medium is watercolor and his work is represented in several permanent collections including the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Stan’s work appears in Wild Orchids of Florida; The Wild Orchids of North America, North of Mexico; Wild Orchids of the Southeastern United States, North of Peninsular Florida; and Wild Orchids of the Pacific Northwest and Canadian Rockies.

An introspective artist with an eye for beauty and color, Stan captures nature in a lyrical fashion through his mastery technique of watercolors. Come and enjoy appetizers and refreshments as well as the opportunity to meet the artist, as well as Tin Mountain staff and members.

The general public is invited to Stan Folsom’s art opening at Tin Mountain Nature Learning Center on Tuesday, July 20th from 5 through 7 PM. Following the gallery opening you are welcome to stay for the nature program “Tips for Low-Maintenance, High Impact Perennial Gardens” with Kerry Ann Mendez at 7 PM. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of artwork benefits Tin Mountain Conservation Center, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit environmental education program.
