Join Dan Gardoqui, science editor for What the Robin Knows and founder of White Pine Programs in York, Maine, as he reads stories & facts from the book and clues us in on how birds reveal nature’s secrets.  Dan will speak about his work editing the new book What the Robin Knows and share his enthusiasm and years of studying, interpreting and speaking the language of the birds.

Deep bird language is an ancient discipline, perfected by Native peoples the world over. Finally, science is catching up. This groundbreaking book unites the indigenous knowledge, the latest research, and the author’s own experience of four decades in the field to lead us toward a deeper connection to the animals and, in the end, a deeper connection to ourselves.

Dan Gardoqui is co-founder and director of White Pine Programs, a community-supported nature-connection organization in Cape Neddick Maine.  He’s a certified wildlife tracker, bird mimic and Registered Maine Guide. Dan has a Master’s degree from University of New Hampshire and serves as Science Faculty at Granite State College. He lives in the Agamenticus Region of Southern Maine with his wife and two sons where he likes to hunt and explore the woods out back.
