EcoForum: North Conway’s Farmer’s Market
Thurs, July 10, 12-1 PM Nature Learning Center Last summer the North Conway Farmer’s market took root, and took off in popularity! With over 15 local vendors selling everything from vegetables, to meat, cheese, coffee, ice cream and more, Valley residents and visitors had a variety of local items to purchase throughout the summer. On July 10, farmers market board member, Matt Trahan, will introduce some of the local vendors participating in the 2014 North Conway Farmers Market and discuss the importance of buying local and supporting the Valley’s farms.

EcoForum: Building the Best Mountain Bike Trails

There are many important factors that need to be examined when building woodland trails, and local bike enthusiasts and trail builders, Jotham Oliver and Chris Krug know all about it. It is lot of work, but a trail done right lasts decades, for bikers and any trail users. Come learn how it’s done from the trail building experts!

American Values, American Wilderness
Thurs, June 5, 7 PM Nature Learning Center Join us for the viewing of American Values: American Wilderness, a film commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Forest Service Wilderness Act. The film features an eclectic group of Americans and how wilderness has influenced their values from early childhood experiences to expressions of hope for the future. After the show, staff from the US Forest Service will lead a brief discussion about the film and this landmark legislation.
