From noon until 1pm

At Nature Learning Center

Cynthia Melendy is a  member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. These Climate Leaders have been trained by our Chairman, Al Gore, and deliver Climate Reality presentations in schools, homes, places of worship, businesses, and government forums. Climate Reality presentations educate people about climate change, and build local networks of climate activists who work in their own communities and countries demanding solutions.

Cynthia Melendy, a longtime resident of the Mount Washington Valley, is an environmental activist, birder and writer on the arts who participated in the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training with Al Gore in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in November of 2014. A retired US environmental history and culture professor, she spends her time passionately educating people about what can be done in the face of the climate realities that New England is already facing due to climate change. Come join us for an exciting and lively discussion on the impacts and challenges associated with climate change in the Mount Washington Valley.

The EcoForum lunchtime lecture series is sponsored by The Flatbread Company of North Conway and the Frontside Grind. EcoForums are free and open to the public and are presented at noon on the second Thursday of each month at the Tin Mountain Nature Learning Center in Albany. The community is urged to attend to learn more about salient issues facing our natural environment and to hear the views of thought-provoking speakers. To learn more about Tin Mountain Conservation Center and other upcoming programs call 603-447-6991, visit www.tinmountain.org, or friend us on facebook.
