From 9am until 1pm

At Meet at the Downes Brook Trailhead (across from Passaconaway Campground)

Church Pond is a beautiful but seldom visited peatland in Albany and Livermore. At over 100-acres it is the largest bog in the WMNF. The round-trip hike is just over two miles and is relatively flat, but does require knee-deep wading across the Swift River twice so bring wading shoes and dry socks. We will have lunch at a knoll topped with red pines overlooking the pond.
