Tin Mountain Conservation Center will be hosting a presentation entitled, "Night Flyers" at 7 PM, Thursday January 22 at the Tin Mountain Nature Learning Center on Bald Hill Road in Albany, NH. Lucy Golden, of Franconia will discuss the four local giant silk moths, which include the luna, polyphemus, cecropia, and promethea moths. She will also explain the new challenges that they have faced in recent years that has led to a steep decline in their populations. As a result of having become aware of their predicament, she has been raising these moths for several years. On Thursday night she will share the knowledge that she has gained. She will also explain the process of raising them, and touch on community involvement in the process.
