Saving Seabirds: Lessons from Puffins and Terns

Mingling, appetizers raffle for a Puffin trip, new membership incentives followed by a great presentation with Dr. Stephen Kress, Director of National Audubon Society’s Seabird Restoration Program. Kress will review techniques developed on Maine islands that have led to the restoration of puffins and terns to historic nesting islands. He will discuss how these techniques are helping to expand breeding ranges and reduce risks of extinction worldwide. His lecture includes reviews of inspiring and hopeful seabird restoration projects worldwide.
