From 5pm

Jackson Grammar School teacher and Chef, Joan Heysler, is competing in the October 19th Valley Food Fright competition, hosted by Mount Washington Valley Promotions, and is hoping to win the $1,000 prize for Tin Mountain Conservation Center. Additionally, Tin Mountain will keep any funds raised after the entry fee has been paid. Please help Chef Joan and Tin Mountain by making a donation at www.tinmountain.com/donations and dedicate it to Joan!

Based loosely on the Food Network TV show Chopped, this version will have a fun Fall/Halloween theme. The competition will take place from October 15-19, when the chefs will receive 3 Mystery Ingredients, donated by The Valley Originals. They will prepare a hearty Fall or Halloween inspired 3-course meal incorporating these ingredients. Twists on classics are welcomed.

The chefs will use their own kitchen and base ingredients, and have one day to prepare their meal for presentation to a panel of local celebrity judges. Food will be judged on flavor, creativity, use of the Mystery Ingredients and overall presentation. Judging will take place, in person, at Fire by Wicked Fresh on Tuesday afternoon, October 19, beginning at 5:00pm.
