Artist Andrea Kennett will be offering a unique painting opportunity for adults and children over 12 years of age. She will be teaching the art of painting on glass using oil paints on glass from old frames. The effect is beautiful. Participants can choose from three designs, a chickadee, white pine cone, or a Mount Washington scene.

Andrea is a well-known artist in the Mount Washington Valley. Primarily self taught, with the exception of classes and seminars, Andrea works in watercolor and oils, but she occasionally delves into three-dimensional pieces. Andrea has worked with Tin Mountain Conservation Center for many years as an illustrator, and her work graces many Tin Mountain brochures and advertising pieces as well as most of their t-shirt designs.

She was always attracted to the natural world as a young artist and lover of the outdoors saying, “I spent many summer afternoons on the Saco River watching the wildlife around me.  My grandfather and great-aunt on my mother’s side were accomplished artists.  I studied their art pieces and learned from their work.”

There is a $5 materials cost for the program. This program is sponsored in part by L.L. Bean and the Evenor Armington Fund.
