Teaming with Camp Susan Curtis in Stoneham, ME, Tin Mountain offers a three-day, two-night Ecology Explorers Camp to eighth-grade Fryeburg students. Camp draws upon the natural science acumen and field skills that students accumulate over nine years of Tin Mountain environmental education programs, and asks them to apply that knowledge to a specific environmental issue. The camp focuses upon developing field skills, providing in-depth study of science and the environment, gathering data, and participating in a public hearing on a natural resource issue.
