From 12pm until 1pm

At Nature Learning Center, Albany

Aerial insectivores are birds that feed primarily on insects captured in flight, and include nightjars, swifts, flycatchers, and swallows. Many of these species, particularly swallows and the Chimney Swift, are experiencing significant population declines both in NH and across the Northeast, and sometimes across their entire ranges. Dr. Pamela Hunt, NH Audubon, will provide an overview of these species’ biology and population trends, and delve into what we know – or don’t know – about the causes of the declines.

An optional field component will follow the EcoForum presentation.
