If you are looking for that exceptional setting to express your sustainable perspective or to highlight the ‘Carbon Footprint’ of your wedding, commitment ceremony, renewing of your vows, event or seminar; Tin Mountain Nature Center embodies the ‘Green’ theme .

The Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Albany, New Hampshire is a non-profit nature center focused on teaching about ecological issues. The Nature Center integrates solar thermal and solar/photovoltaic systems into the building. The Center also utilizes local materials where possible, including 20 species of wood all harvested in New England, most within 10 miles of the Center. Slate covering the lobby, kitchen, classroom and restroom floors was procured from Vermont.

The state of the art solar building provides an excellent teaching platform for promoting sustainable energy systems, energy conservation choices and the use of locally produced wood products.  This project won the 2007 PlanNH Merit Award for Excellence, and an Honorable Mention for Sustainable Design in 2008 from AIA New Hampshire Integrated Design/Integrated Development.
